| How JimiArt Galleries work with Artists |
|
As a professional artist you know the importance of representation by a well established gallery. You may also be aware that there are many ways in
which galleries function as businesses. Galleries work
with artists in one of the following ways:
1.Art Show - JimiArt Galleries require artists to pay a representation fee of $75 for an art show and a 15% commission of the sales. Online announcements, display advertisements, participation in a collective exhibition with an opening reception and online representation on the gallery websites. The gallery’s site is one of the highest ranking art websites on the Internet today. For an additional fee press releases, post cards, targeted client presentations and personalized PR efforts are also available. Please call us at 314-259-1138 or 217-691-8082 or e mail us at customercare@jimiart.com. 2. Co-Op galleries generally charge the artist a
fee and provide a listing announcing the collective exhibition. For the
most part, the artist has the responsibility of producing their own
promotional material and is often required to participate by "sitting in
the gallery". Many of these galleries also collect a commission from the
sale of artwork. exposure and promotion is often limited to the listing,
and little to no online exposure is provided. 3. Representational galleries, such as JimiArt
Galleries, provide both emerging and established artists with
representation. Galleries working in this format provide a range and
degree of services. JimiArt Galleries has been in the art industry
since 1997 and is well established in the art market . The gallery
provides a written agreement detailing the service that it renders to the
artists. Artists are invited to participate after careful scrutiny with
regard to the marketability of the artwork.
