How JimiArt Galleries works with Artists

As a professional artist you know the importance of representation by a well established gallery.
You may also be aware that there are many ways in which galleries function as businesses. Galleries work with artists in one of the following three ways:
  1. Representation/Art Show  - Artists are required to pay a representation fee $100  for an Art Show  and a 40% commission of the sales (for collective showing events only) . Display advertisements, press releases, post cards, targeted client presentations, personalized PR efforts, online announcements, participation in a collective exhibition with an opening reception and online representation on the gallery websites. The gallery’s site is one of the highest ranking art websites on the Internet today.

  2. Representation/Art Show  - Artists are required to pay a representation fee $250  for an Art Show  and a 40% commission of the sales (Single showing events) . Display advertisements, press releases, post cards, targeted client presentations, personalized PR efforts, online announcements, participation in a collective exhibition with an opening reception and online representation on the gallery websites. The gallery’s site is one of the highest ranking art websites on the Internet today.

  3. Co-op galleries generally charge the artist a fee and provide a listing announcing the exhibition. For the most part, the artist has the responsibility of producing their own promotional material and is often required to participate by "sitting in the gallery". Many of these galleries also collect a commission up to 50% from the sale of artwork. exposure and promotion is often limited to the listing, and little  to no online exposure is provided.

  4. Representational galleries, such as JimiArt Galleries, provide both emerging and established artists with  representation. Galleries working in this format provide a range and degree of services. JimiArt Galleries takes pride in working with artist to achieve their goals and budget by tailoring events to meet this needs.  Please call us at  217-788-9252 or fax  217-492-1590 or e mail us at customercare@jimiart.com or view the submission guidelines for detailed instructions.
